St. Martin's Men's Club is always ready to lend a helping hand, from helping set up for the school's auction and other events, to installing new gym lights (see photo at left) and doors, to hanging palms and changing lights in the church. The parish appreciates the great spirit of the Men's Club members, generously sharing their time and talents with the larger community. |
Men's Club Membership
A new Men’s Club year is upon us! Our willingness to generously extend ourselves to better our community is a Men’s Club tradition. Keeping the effort fun is also a tradition. It’s also the perfect way for you to work off those parish service hours. The Men’s Club also helps out at school fundraisers, which count toward school fundraising hours required this year.
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Community Building -- pizza and refreshments are served. Our next meeting is February 21st, a week later this month due to Valentine’s Day. I hope you will take the time and effort to attend the meetings. The ideas, wisdom and energy that each of us bring to the meetings ensures we maximize our contribution to St. Martin of Tours Church and all that it stands for.
The annual membership dues of $50 enable us to do the following:
- Supply working capital for fundraising events
- Cover the administrative costs of the club (postage, envelopes etc.)
- Provide for the cost of food and drink for the club’s work days and meetings
- Provide for other recurring expenses (dumpsters for clean-up days, etc.)
- Skip the $10 non-Men’s Club entrance fee for poker tournaments
Dues are a vital part of the club’s resources. We appreciate your keeping your member status in the Men’s Club active with the payment of your dues. Please take this opportunity to write your check for $50 and mail it in the enclosed envelope. Checks are payable to: St. Martin’s Men’s Club at 200 O’Connor Drive San Jose, CA, 95128
