Stephanie Rossi is a San Jose native. She is married to John Rossi and they have two sons, Matthew and Daniel. Stephanie and her family enjoy spending time together whether it be skiing, camping, or going to their favorite beach destination - Maui.
Stephanie decided to join RCIA after watching her youngest son (Daniel) make the journey last year. Stephanie realized a spiritual belonging was something she always wanted but wasn't sure how to get there. Daniel opened the door for his mother to finally make her commitment to join the Catholic faith. It's truly amazing how much we can learn from our children. Lastly, her favorite ice cream is Jamoca Almond Fudge! |

I was born in Torrance, California to a Catholic father and a Protestant mother. And, although both my parents instilled in me strong Christian values, my mother felt that I should not be baptized. She hoped that I would have my own faith journey and eventually find a spiritual "home."
My father agreed that the faith journey should be mine alone. However, he convinced my mother to name me "Theresa" after Saint Theresa - the "Little Flower", with the hope that she would guide me in my life, just as she had done for him. Giving me this name may have been more influential than either of my parents could have guessed... For many years, I felt drawn toward the Catholic faith; I attended Mass frequently in my old parish, and even studied the faith as part of my Master's degree in medieval literature. I am so happy that I began my faith journey at the RCIA program at Saint Martin of Tours and I am excited about the upcoming Easter Vigil, where I will become a full member of the Catholic community. |

Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my grandparents. They were like a second pair of parents, and passed away about 3 years ago. I have been to 5 different schools from preschool to freshman at high school. I am currently attending Archbishop Mitty High School, and am not looking to transfer until senior graduation. I was brought up in Santa Cruz, and have a house there, and here in San Jose. Some hobbies of mine are skiing, both freestyle and downhill, snowboarding, biking, skateboarding, and as my parents would say, sitting around the house. My favorite ice cream is cookie dough. |

My favorite movies are Pirates of the Caribbean, Hot Fuzz, She's the Man, and Alvin and the Chipmunks. My favorite animal is a koala bear. I love to sing, and I am definitely the next American idol! I love to dance, and I am a very outgoing person. My favorite ice cream is chocolate chip cookie dough. |

I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. After living there for 15 years of my life, I moved with my family to San Jose. I have always felt incomplete; I was baptized at birth but never really went beyond that. Through the years, I tried to integrate myself by going to bible studies - somehow it just didn't click. Luckily, I had two friends who introduced me to the RCIA program at St. Martins. This has been one of the most memorable experiences for me; it might even beat out a bowl of vanilla ice cream on a hot day... :) |
