"People Ministering to People"
Our motto at St. Martin's is "People Ministering to People". We have a very active and involved Catholic community of over 2000 households. Our parish is located in the heart of busy "Silicon Valley" which is both a blessing and a challenge.
Welcome to this virtual extension of our parish community. If you would like to contact us, please see the information below.
Welcome, Father Jojo Page
My name is Fr. Joselito Alfonso Page or popularly known as Fr. Jojo. The nickname “Jojo” in my country means “little Joe.” The name Joselito means little Joseph. I was born and raised in a little town called Sta. Cruz in the province of Ilocos Sur which is located between the China Sea and the Cordillera Mountain of Northern Philippines. I am the youngest of five children. I went to grade school where my mother retired as a classroom teacher. I graduated from Saint Augustine's High School, during which time I was a student leader and highly involved with the religious activities of the school. The presence of the European missionaries (priests and nuns) in our school gave me an idea to consider religious vocation or ordained ministry. I entered the Seminary after high school. It was a great experience of prayer and discernment. I finished college with a Degree in Philosophy at the Pontifical University and Central Seminary in Manila. I continued my studies in Philosophy and Education. My work experiences include teaching in high school, secretary to the Dean and educator to college seminarians.
I joined the Diocese of San Jose in 2000 and enrolled for theological studies at Saint Patrick Seminary in Menlo Park. It was a great experience of formation and community. Prior to ordination I did a pastoral internship at Saint Clare Parish, in Santa Clara and transitional diaconate at Christ the King Church, in San Jose. After I was ordained to the priesthood on June 4, 2005 I was assigned as Parochial Vicar atSaint Catherine Parish in Morgan Hill. I really love the place because it reminds me of home. For the last three years I have been working closely with Liturgy Committee, Altar Servers, St. Vincent de Paul Ministry, Adult Faith Formation and Pastoral Care of the Sick. I am also the chaplain for the Filipino-American community at Saint Catherine. My hobbies are reading at Starbucks, walking with my dogs, hiking, watching movies, visiting friends for cooking/eating and singing Videoke. Once in a while I still play sports or work out in a gym.
As much as I feel sad about my leaving my first assignment as a priest, I am also excited and happy to begin my journey with you at Saint Martin of Tours this coming July. I have heard from many people that Saint Martin of Tours is a great and vibrant parish. I also hear about the welcoming spirit of the community. It is my ardent hope to serve the community with great dedication. I look forward to getting to know you and worshiping with the community of Saint Martin of Tours. I also look forward to collaborating with Fr. Chris and the Parish and School Staff.

St. Martin of Tours, our Patron Saint
ST. MARTIN'S FEAST DAY CELEBRATION: Saturday, November 8th
Join us on Saturday, November 8th for the 5:00 p.m. Mass, followed by a parish Spaghetti Dinner in the Gym. (Free to all who r.s.v.p. to the Rectory by Nov. 5.) A video will be shown for the children.
SHARE YOUR CLOAK DRIVE: Nov. 8th & 9th
As we celebrate St. Martin of Tours, who shared his cloak with a poor man who was later revealed, in a dream, to be Christ, we will also gather our "cloaks" to share with those in need.
On the weekend of Nov. 8th & 9th, we invite parishioners to bring new and gently used coats, sweaters, sleeping bags or blankets to the Community Building. The donations will be going to Sacred Heart Community Services. The items will be sorted and delivered to Sacred Heart after the 6:00 p.m. Mass, so please don't bring items to us after that time.
Thank you for helping to bring warmth into the lives of those in need, who reveal to us the face of Jesus.
Daniel Evans enters the Peace Corps
Many of you may remember Chip and Laynette Evans, who led the music at the 10 a.m. Mass for many years.
Their son, Daniel, who is a graduate of St. Martin's School, Bellarmine and S.C.U., has just joined the Peace Corps. He will be working in Mali, West Africa and has created a blog to keep folks informed about his on-going adventures there.
To access his blog, go to http://gone2mali.blogspot.com It's both interesting and informative, and Daniel's commitment to service is inspiring.
The students at St. Martin's School will also be following Daniel's work in Mali through their Junior High Social Studies instructor, Doug Killin.
